Research on injury mitigation using computer models

The candidate will use computer modeling to investigate how injuries can be prevented in real world situations collaborating in several of the projects being carried out at MOBIOS Lab.

In particular, the candidate will investigate injury mechanisms in car occupants, pedestrians, cyclists and e-scooter riders that can cause long term consequences and/or severe consequences in the health status of the aforementioned road users.

Requirements

Official master´s degree in Engineering or a similar field. Proficiency in English language. Experience with computer simulation, especially using explicit formulation of Finite Element Analysis (in environments like Ls-Dyna) is required.

What do we offer?

One-year contract (full time) with the possibility of starting doctoral studies. 90% of the doctoral tuition fees will be covered by IIT. Starting annual gross salary amounts to € 30.555,87, including mandatory contributions to the social security system (health insurance, unemployment, etc.). The candidate will benefit from the student services provided by Universidad Pontificia Comillas (library, cultural and sport activities).
