Research on the effect of pitch and vertical acceleration in the injury occurrence of vehicle occupants

The candidate will collaborate in the design of the specifications of a sled system to simulate successfully the pitch and vertical accelerations occurring during a real crash. In addition, the candidate will model with finite element modelling techniques collisions to understand the influence of these dynamics into the likelihood of injuries of a car occupant. These activities will be carried out at MOBIOS Lab.

Requirements

Official master´s degree in Engineering or a similar field. Proficiency in English language. Experience with computer simulation, especially using explicit formulation of Finite Element Analysis (in environments like Ls-Dyna) is required.

What do we offer?
