The researcher will participate in development projects, research and studies related to the challenges for the electrical system of electrification of heavy road transport. Among other aspects, it will be required to develop methodologies to identify and analyze the flow and behavior of heavy road transport, establish consequent strategies for the deployment of recharging points and, if necessary, assess their impact on the electricity grids. This work will be carried out in close collaboration with a company in the electricity sector.
The candidate must have a master's degree in engineering, physics or mathematics. It will be considered the academic record corresponding to the degree provided, as well as knowledge of programming and level of English. Medium knowledge of Spanish is recommended.
Full-time annual contract as Predoctoral Researcher for the development of the projects. In addition, training activities may be carried out. This modality allows the predoctoral researcher to establish a close professional relationship with the companies with which he/she collaborates. There will be the possibility of joining a doctoral program after the first two years or earlier if the performance is adequate. In this case, the predoctoral researcher is hired every year for a maximum total period of six years. The gross salary for the first year is 30,555.87 € for the year 2024. In addition, the IIT covers 90% of the fees for the training activities and there will be access to all the services offered by the University (Sports, Cultural Activities, Library, etc.).
