Railway Traffic Control Systems

The Institute for Research in Technology (IIT) at the Pontifical Comillas University is looking for a predoctoral researcher to collaborate in the development, research, and analysis of the most advanced railway traffic planning and control systems. These projects focus on the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies such as automatic train driving and centralized railway traffic control, with an emphasis on continuous communication.

The selected candidate will work closely with leading companies in the railway sector, providing an excellent opportunity to develop a high-level career in both the academic and professional fields.

 

 

Requirements

  • Education: Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Knowledge: Proficiency in programming, particularly in Matlab.
  • Additional qualifications: A strong academic record and a high level of English will be positively valued.

  • Contract: Full-time contract as a Predoctoral Researcher to work on high-relevance research and technological projects.
  • Continuous training: Access to university training activities, with 90% funding for fees provided by the IIT.

  • Career progression: The contract can be extended up to six years with two category changes. The starting gross salary is €30,555.87 for the first year, with an increase to €36,000 during the maximum period.
