Overview: The scope of this project is to collate and analyse both technical and market data, to identify, classify and assess existing optical fibre sensing solutions, in the context of utility telecommunications. Stages & Deliverables: • The project will involve a first phase of understanding the technical differential aspects of optical fibre sensing. • The project will continue with the identification of the different optical fibre sensing market alternatives, both from the technical, market and commercial aspects. It will assess those applications in terms of interest for the utility, maturity, and market solutions. • The final deliverable will put focus on those solutions that pose an interest, proposing next steps to develop a deployable solution.
