Assessing greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants in achieving a net-zero Spanish energy system

The bp Chair for a Sustainable Net-Zero is currently seeking a highly motivated student to contribute to an exciting research project focused on incorporating greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and other pollutants considerations into the openMASTER model of strategic energy planning. This is a remarkable opportunity to research, identify, and quantify the origin and magnitude of GHG emissions and other pollutants, with a primary focus on CO2, NOx, SOx, and PM emissions, within the Spanish energy sector. Moreover, the student is expected to conduct a thorough examination of the life cycle of CO2 emissions associated with key technologies prevalent in the Spanish energy landscape, such as vehicles and household equipment. Join us if you are passionate about sustainability and net-zero initiatives within the energy sector.
