Battery Network Design Using Quantum Computing

The goal of the project is to apply quantum computing technologies for the development of a model that allows identifying optimum placement and sizing of the batteries in the electric grid so that network reliability is maximised while maintaining voltage levels under control and minimising investments. An evaluation of the suitability of quantum computing to resolve an optimisation problem such as this will be made. Moreover, it will be explored if computational limitations and simplifying assumptions made in previous projects can be released if using current-state-of-the-art of quantum-like computing.
