Unfortunately, every winter in our country we are faced with tragic news of people who die in their homes due to fires, mostly caused by using unsafe heating systems. These are households that cannot afford to heat their homes by other means and end up paying for their poverty with their lives. In this TFM we intend to understand, on the one hand, what is the situation of energy vulnerability in our country, and, on the other hand, what fire protection systems are traditionally used. With this information, we will analyse a case study in a group of social housing on which we will propose possible concrete measures of protection for their tenants. The main objective is to offer some tools that can be scalable and that will help to prevent new tragedies occurring again in the coming winters.
