Biography:
Fernando de Cuadra was born in Madrid in 1961. He holds a degree and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the ICAI Engineering School and an Executive MBA from the ICADE Business School (Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Madrid, Spain). Since 2001 he is Full Professor at ICAI and IIT (a technology research institute) in the Comillas University. Among other positions, he was appointed Dean of the Engineering School from 2001 to 2010. His main research areas are related to Operations Research techniques (simulation and optimization) applied to diverse sectors, such as the aerospace industry, power systems and railway systems.
