Biography:
Damián Laloux was born in Asturias (Spain) in 1962. He obtained the Ingeniero Industrial and Doctor Ingeniero Industrial degrees from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas in 1986 and 1996. From 1987 to 1990, he was teaching at the Universidad Centroamericana "José Simeón Cañas" in El Salvador, Central America. From 1996 he is assistant professor at the Electrical Engineering Department, and has been Head of the same Department from 2005 to 2010. From June 2010 to 2013 he has been Head of Studies for the Industrial & Operations Engineering, Industrial Electronics and Control Engineering and Technical Industrial Engineering degrees, and after that, for the Bachelor in Electromechanical Engineering and the Bachelor in Industrial Technologies Engineering until January 2023. Currently he is Head of Studies of the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering at the ICAI School of Engineering of the Universidad Pontificia Comillas. His areas of interest are Modelling, Analysis and Control of Electric Power Systems as well as Sustainable Development.
