Biography:

Daniel Wuebben is an interdisciplinary researcher and teacher who specializes in English composition and Energy Humanities. Wuebben received his Ph.D. in Literature from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and has held full-time faculty positions in the Writing Program at the University of California Santa Barbara and the Goodrich Scholars Program at the University of Nebraska Omaha. His book, Power-lined: Electricity, Landscape and the American Mind (2019) has addresses the various historical constructs of electricity and how its manifestation as physical infrastructure interrelates with certain forms of cultural expression and perceptions of technology and landscape. In 2020, Wuebben was awarded a Marie Curie Fellowship with the University of Rey Juan Carlos’s GOT Energy Talent program. His project, WIRESEED 360 (Weaving Innovative Research and Public Engagement: Smart Energy, Science Education, and Dissemination of 360° Content), examined the confluence of science communication, public engagement, and energy transitions in Spain and the rest of the European Union. He has presented papers in 28 international conferences and published 10 articles in academic journals as first author. He has an H-index of 5 and the ANECA evaluation of Contratado Doctor.
