Biography:
Erik Alvarez was born in Lima (Peru) in 1992. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at the National University of Engineering (Peru) in 2016 and his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering at the State University of Campinas (Brazil) in 2019. He has experience in power system planning studies since he worked at COES SINAC (Peruvian electrical independent system operator). His areas of interest are related to flexibilities in power transmission, convex relaxations applied to power system and stochastic optimization. And, he started to work as a researcher in the Energy Systems Modeling area of the Technological Research Institute (IIT) of the Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid in September 2019.
