Biography:
Eliana Ormeño Mejía, completed her bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL), Guayaquil-Ecuador. She got a Master's Degree in Energy Engineering, specialization in Renewable Energy, at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and a Diploma in Electricity Markets of the Future and its Regulation at Pontificia Universidad Católica of Chile. She currently works as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Research in Technology (IIT). Her research focuses on exploring how several mechanisms for acquiring flexibility from third-party resources can interact to provide system services to the distribution network, transitioning from a single-mechanism approach to an efficient combination of acquisition mechanisms.
