Biography:
Ignacio graduated as Electro-Mechanical Engineer at ICAI School of Engineering in 2018. He also completed the Master in Industrial Engineering and Master in Engineering for Mobility and Safety in 2020. On his Master's Thesis, Ignacio collaborated with the Institute for Research in Technology (IIT). Later that same year, he became part of the IIT as a Research Assistant. Nowadays, he is currently developing projects in robotics and computer vision.
Areas of interest:
Computer Vision, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Interactive Systems, Augmented Reality, Sustainable Mobility.
Current research interests:
After his time at LTH Lund (Sweden), Ignacio developed a strong interest in multidisciplinary projects during his last undergraduate year. This curiosity to learn from different areas has led him to explore computer vision or interactive design, despite his previous education in mechanical engineering. This mix of areas makes him currently interested in and developing a wide variety of projects. Some of them are the development of synthetic image sets, the manufacture of gripping tools for robots using soft robotics, or the development of an interactive platform for designing urban areas. This last project was his Master's Thesis, and he is now extending the development of this tool with the help of collaborating students.
