Biography:
Mr. Jean Pierre MUTUYIMANA completed his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology, Rwanda, in 2011. He earned his Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics from Germany’s University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Kaiserslautern) in 2017. In 2020, he obtained a certificate as an Occupational Safety and Health Manager.
From 2012 to 2015, he worked as an Assistant Lecturer in the Electrical Department, within the Industrial Automation unit, at the Integrated Polytechnic Regional College Kigali.
From November 2015 to November 2017, he served as a Research Assistant at the Integrated Miniaturized System in Chemical Process in Microsystems Technology, focusing on 3D-CAD/FEM in R&D of microsystems.
In November 2018, he became the Production Manager at Strawtec Building Solutions Ltd, overseeing the production process. From November 2020 to November 2024, he worked as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology. His teaching responsibilities included kinematics of machine, occupational safety and health, CAD-CAM, Maintenance management and reliability, and engineering mechanics.
Since December 2024, Mr. MUTUYIMANA has been a researcher at the Comillas Pontifical University, School of Engineering (ICAI), Institute for Research and Technology (IIT). His research interests include product design, product development, finite-element-based simulation, material and process characterization.
