Biography:
Jorge Suarez Porras was born in Spain. He obtained his degree in Engineering in Industrial Technologies from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICAI), Madrid. He completed a Master's degree in Energy Engineering, specializing in Power Electronics and Drives, at Aalborg University (AAU), Denmark. He developed his master's thesis in distributed power electronics for second-life batteries with multilevel converters. He has experience in the study of control of electronic converters and construction of experimental benches. Previously, he worked at the Research Institute of Technology (IIT) on model reduction and sensitivity analysis and at Aalborg University on reliability, control and construction projects for electronic converters as a student collaborator in both positions. He joined the Research Institute of Technology (IIT) in July 2022, as a researcher in training in the area of Electrical Systems. Currently, he is doing his doctoral thesis in electrical energy at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas, focusing his study on the stability analysis of large electrical power systems with renewable generation through synthetic inertia.
