Biography:
Alberto Herrero was born in Santander in 1993. He obtained his degree in Chemical Engineering in 2015 from University of Cantabria. He also obtained his Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering in 2017 from University of Cantabria and Basque Country. He has worked as a researcher working in the field of membranes for separation processes and fuel cells, at O&M in the Torrevieja SWRO (240,000 m3/d). He has also worked in the payments methods industry as a consultant. In February 2020, he joined the Institute for Research in Technology (IIT) working as a Research Assistant in the Energy Systems Models area. His doctoral thesis focuses on the integration of the hydrogen economy in the electricity market and its long-term implications.
