Biography:
Manuel Romeo Monterde is a predoctoral researcher at the Institute for Research in Technology (IIT) of the School of Engineering (ICAI) at Comillas Pontifical University since October 2024, where he works mainly in the area of modelling and electrification of mobility, focusing on heavy road transport.
Manuel graduated in Physics at the University of Zaragoza in 2021. Subsequently, as part of the EIT InnoEnergy Dual Master's programme ‘Renewable Energies’, Manuel obtained a Master's degree in Energy Engineering and Management from the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) in Lisbon in 2023, and a Master's degree in Energy Innovation from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm in 2024. This dual degree programme includes an MBA level course in business, finance, entrepreneurship and business management at ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
Manuel worked for one year as a software developer at Sopra Steria. Moreover, he did an internship and his Master's Thesis at Toyota Motor Europe's technical centre in Brussels, where he focused on the research of PEM electrolysers for the production of green hydrogen.
