Biography:
Oswaldo Arenas Crespo received his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (2013) and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Colombia (2018).
In July 2024 he joined the Institute for Research in Technology (IIT) at Comillas Pontifical University, where he works as a Predoctoral Researcher.Areas of interest:
Relay protection, disturbance analysis, modeling of power systems, power electronics, storage, and non-conventional generation sources.
Experience:
He has a total of 12 years of experience working in the Colombian electricity sector, of which two years were as a research assistant at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, one year as an Operation Programming Analyst at the Colombian Electricity System Operator (XM), two years as a consulting engineer at PHC Proyectos Integrados and seven years as a Disturbance and Protection Analyst at Interconexión Eléctrica S.A. (ISA).
