Biography:
Shilpa Bindu obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT) - Calicut, India. She did an EIT- Innoenergy double Master’s degree in Energy for Smart Cities at KTH Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm and Universidad Politécnica de Catalunya (UPC) Barcelona. After finishing her final degree project on ‘Energy Storage Systems for Smart Meter Privacy’, she joined Instituto de Energía Solar (IES- UPM) as a research engineer. Her work involved designing solar simulators for characterizing hybrid solar modules consisting of concentrated and non-concentrated solar cells. Currently, she is working at IIT as a research assistant focused on the design of short-term energy markets.
