Biography:
Saeed Rezaeian-Marjani received the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical power engineering from Urmia University (Iran), in 2013, 2015, and 2022, respectively.
He was a research assistant (RA) in the Electrical Power Engineering Department of Urmia University, from December 2015 to September 2017, and was involved in two research projects. He completed his first postdoctoral fellowship in the Electrical Engineering Department of Sharif University of Technology (Iran), from 2022 to 2023.
He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute For Research Technology (IIT) at Comillas Pontifical University (Spain).
In 2019 and 2020, he was honoured to be the recipient of a scholarship award from Iran's National Elites Foundation (INEF). In 2021, he was selected as a top researcher for the West Azerbaijan province (Iran), which was an outstanding achievement. He also received the prestigious "Shahid Tehrani Moghaddam" and "Shahid Rahnamon" awards in 2022 for his exceptional contributions to education and research. In addition, he was awarded postdoctoral research grant funding ("Shahid Chamran" grant) in 2022 from the INEF, a remarkable accomplishment. He is known as an outstanding graduate by INEF.
Through his academic activities, he has published several ISI-indexed papers in high-quality journals and a few IEEE-indexed papers at international conferences. Furthermore, he has also been involved in some industrial and academic projects in collaboration with other academic members.
He is proficient in MATLAB and DIgSILENT power factory (DPL and DSL).
Current research interests:
His main research interests include the operation of power systems considering FACTS devices and other power electronics-based devices, the application of analytical and intelligent algorithms in optimizing power systems performance, the probabilistic assessment of power systems, and the modelling and control of hybrid AC/DC power systems.
