La energía solar térmica de media temperatura puede ser una alternativa de interés para descarbonizar la industria, especialmente en países con buen recurso como España. En este trabajo analizamos su viabilidad económica, concluyendo que en muchos lugares puede ser competitiva ya con el gas natural.
Este resultado es parte del proyecto de I+D “Evaluación de políticas para la transición energética” (PID2022-136376OB-I00) financiado por el MICIU/AEI /10.13039/501100011033 y por FEDER, UE.
English layman's summary:
Medium-temperature solar thermal energy can be an interesting alternative to decarbonise industry, especially in countries with good resources such as Spain. In this paper we analyse its economic viability, concluding that in many places it can already be competitive with natural gas.
