Resumen:
Security of supply in case of failure of high voltage/medium voltage (HV/MV) substations often relies on the support provided by MV distribution networks. The structure of some MV distribution networks allows the substation load to be supplied by adjacent substations through the reconfiguration of the MV distribution network in case of the trip of a HV/MV substation. This paper presents a tool to compute the minimum unsupplied power reconfiguration of a MV distribution network. The tool is based on a heuristic algorithm that determines the quasi-optimal switching strategy to minimize the non delivered energy (NDE). The constraints considered are branch power flows and bus voltages. The algorithm has been able to address very large-scale MV distribution networks of thousands buses. The performance of the tool will be illustrated with actual scenarios of Iberdrola MV network in Madrid.
