Funding entity Inscripciones participantes, Electric Energy Systems - University Enterprise Training Partnership Association (EES-UETP)

Deregulation of electricity sector has deeply changed the requirements of the models used as decision-support tools by generation companies. Although this process has brought generation companies new opportunities, they have to face new decisions, and new risks.
This course is focused on the new role of models for generation expansion and operation, from long- to short-term decisions. It will cover both the adaptation of traditional techniques and the new techniques developed under the new framework.
The different functions and time scopes considered by models in the generation industry will be treated. The course will cover from long-term models used to establish global policies and generation expansion, to medium- and short-term tools that address operation strategies, risk assessment and strategic bidding among others.
