This project is an application of a multi-agent architecture in industry in the field of diagnosis and condition monitoring of components. This is a ESPRIT project partially supported by the European Commission. The objective of the DIAMOND project is the integration of several monitoring and diagnosis (M&D) systems into a framework in an upper level able to take advantage of the cooperation among heterogeneous M&D systems. Two industrial applications were used to demonstrate the feasibility and advantages of the DIAMOND system, one of them was focused on a factory working with robots and another one was a coal power plant.
