Funding entity REE (Red Eléctrica de España)
This project consists on the small-signal stability study of the Libya-Egypt-Jordan-Syria-Lebanon. The study comprises: (1) Computation of the inter-area modes, (2) Validation of the computed modes with respect to the modes observed in power system records, (3) location of power system stabilizers and (4) tuning of power system stabilizers to improve the damping of the poorly damped modes. The study will be addressed using the SMAS3 program package developed by IIT.
