The main objective of this project is the design of an efficient controller for a radiant-floor heating system. Therefore, work will progress as follows:
1. Detailed analysis of a typical radiant-floor heating system. Characterization of the main aspects involved in a simplified model to be used for control porpoises.
2. System modelling for control.
3. Investigation of suitable control algorithms.
4. Algorithm validation in a experimental set-up.
The work carried out by IIT will be complemented with detailed simulation done by Euroestudios using finite-element techniques.
